Forbes names Miami one of Ohio’s best employers
University is on the list for a fifth consecutive year
For the fifth time in as many years, Miami University is among the top employers in Ohio, according to a recently released list from Forbes.
Miami is ranked No. 43 overall in Ohio, sixth in the state’s education industry in America’s Best In-State Employers 2024.
Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., America’s Best In-State Employers draws from surveys of more than 160,000 employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in the U.S. Nearly 4.4 million employer evaluations were considered in the independent survey, which is open to companies from all industry sectors.
“Miami remains deeply committed to providing positive student outcomes. Our faculty and staff are integral to building an inclusive community where we all can succeed,” Miami President Greg Crawford said. “That kind of collaborative, cohesive outlook is so important to a thriving and prosperous environment.”
With more than 3,700 employees, Miami is the largest employer in Butler County. Miami serves more than 20,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students across its Oxford campus, regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, the Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, and the John E. Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg.
This is the sixth time Miami has appeared on the Forbes list and fifth consecutive year. The university has been ranked each year starting in 2020.
“To be consistently ranked among Ohio’s top employers is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff to the university’s mission,” President Crawford said. “We strive to maintain our high standards of delivering a top-notch curricular and co-curricular experience for our students.”
