Miami’s Major Insight takes top Podcast spot at Ragan awards

Miami University’s Major Insight podcast took the top honor in its category during the recent Ragan Nonprofit Communications Awards held Sept. 27 at the Yale Club in New York City.
Major Insight won in the Communications Assets – Podcast category. The popular podcast, which is hosted by a Miami student, tells the stories of students as they navigate challenges, wins, and all that college entails. Topics have included choosing a major, making friends, finding mentors, and more.
Finalists in the category included AHIP: The Next Big Thing in Health; Connected Nation: Connected Nation podcast; Opportunity Home San Antonio: Beyond Housing Podcast; and OSF HealthCare: OSF Health Accelerated Podcast.
Miami also received Honorable Mention status in the Communications Assets – Video category for its When Hippo Met Watermelon: Miami University’s Viral Moment Wins Hearts entry.
