Miami University’s Love.Honor.Care weekend raised more than just the RedHawks’ basketball profile.

The annual Miami initiative generated more than $20,000 for cancer awareness and research benefiting Ride Cincinnati, an organization that funds cancer research and care in the greater Cincinnati area.

This year’s edition of Love.Honor.Care, the 10th overall, featured a pair of basketball games on Feb. 21-22 at Millett Hall. The men’s basketball game on Feb. 21 was broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network as the RedHawks thrilled fans with a 96-92 overtime victory against Mid-American Conference foe Kent State.

Nearly $200,000 has been raised over the years through Love.Honor.Care efforts. This year’s games were sponsored by Western Southern & Financial Group.
