MiamiTHRIVE Symposium sessions scheduled for March
Shriver Center hosts sessions; streaming option also available
Work on MiamiTHRIVE, Miami University’s strategic planning process, continues this spring. Nearly 2,000 students, faculty, and staff have actively contributed their insights and feedback to shape the university’s future.
On March 3, March 4, and March 10, the second THRIVE Symposium will be held to introduce more initiatives to the community. The symposium sessions will be held in the Shriver Center Admissions Auditorium. All sessions will be streamed. The schedule and topics are as follows:
March 3, 4:15 p.m.
Grow Programs in High Demand Fields
This committee thought about the ways in which Miami could remain competitive by providing new and innovative market-driven programs.
March 4, 3:30 p.m.
Develop Ecosystems of Excellence in Research and Scholarship
This committee is focused on building out opportunities that will allow faculty and staff to excel in research and scholarly efforts.
March 4, 4:15 p.m.
Strengthen the Student Experience and Support Growing Segments
This committee is considering the most important ways Miami can support our current students while looking to the future to consider how we might grow new student segments.
March 10, 3:30 p.m.
Strategically Leverage the Regional Campuses
Miami’s regional campuses are vital to both the university and the region. This committee spent time building out ideas that will provide the region with the educational programs that are needed for our communities while at the same time looking at ways to make the transfer enrollment experience seamless between the three campuses.
March 10, 4:15 p.m.
This committee focused on ideas that will ensure a Miami education is within reach for all students regardless of socioeconomic background.
