Along with paying tribute to the Class of 2025, Miami also awarded five honorary degrees, including to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine ’69 and First Lady Fran DeWine ’71, and to commencement speaker Jeff Berding ’91, the president and co-CEO of FC Cincinnati, David Budig ’84, and Kay Phillips Geiger ’78.

Miami Regionals' Early College Academy also had nearly 75 students from nine area high schools graduate with their high school diploma and an associate degree in general studies, an increase from two high schools and fewer than 30 students last year. More than half of these graduates will be continuing their education at Miami University, either at the Regionals or at Oxford, said Laurel Gilbert, interim director of Dual Credit Programs.

Established in 1809, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.
